Ray Stevens has been involved in sport and fitness for over 30 years. No, he's not that old, he was the youngest ever member of the Great Britain Judo Squad. His Judo career culminated at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games where he competed despite completely torn knee ligaments and won a silver medal.
Initially funding his Olympic dreams through fitness training, he is now using his depth of experience to develop a series of healthy lifestyle options for people in South West London.
Ray's activities currently include:
- Judo classes for all age groups and abilities (4 years to Adult, Beginner to Elite)
- Fitness training ("Fitness Camps"), in association with Kate Staples' Adventure Boot Camp for Women
- Specialised fitness tutorials, Core, Strength, Running
- Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) in association with the Roger Gracie Academy
And will soon include:
- Self Defence and Personal Safety
- Aikido
- Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
- Kickboxing
- Judo Fitness Training
- Karate
- Nutrition
"Obviously Judo is my prime passion but I want to bring the fitness, enjoyment, team spirit and discipline I have benefited from to a much broader range of activities. Exercise should be a fun, engaging, sociable and enjoyable pastime, albeit at times physically and mentally demanding".
